About Us -

Dave is married with two children, and has been in the Dobermann breed for 20 years. His first Dobe lived to an age of 13.5 years, and was trained in obedience.
His current Dobe, Tara, is being shown and worked, she is 4 years old and has gained her stud book number. Tara passed her Bronze, Silver and Gold KC Good Citizen Awards as well as gaining her Sch1. Dave has also served on the committee of the Birmingham Dobermann Club for over a year and amongst other duties, he was in charge of training nights, including ring craft and obedience. Dave is now Club Secretary of the Great Brition Dobermann Club.

Andrew purchased his first Dobermann in 1984 and competed in competition obedience with some success. Determined to compete at the highest level a further dog was purchased in 1993 she went on to compete at Class A level until an injury forced an early retirement.

Andrew turned his attention to showing and purchased a dog in 1996 enjoying some success. Over the last four years he has handled “Florentina Texas Dawn for Oberstein” who is a real joy to show . Andrew joined the committee of his local club the “Birmingham and District Dobermann Club” in 1998 holding the position of Show Manager for six years and Chairman for two years. Andrew is now acting as a member of the Great Brition Dobermann Club Show Committee

Andrew is currently on the Dobermann Breed Council B list, and was honoured to be invited to Judge the Scottish Dobermann Club Open Show in 2006 and the Midland Dobermann Club Ruby Open Show to be held in June 2007

The origin of the "Oberstein" affix

The affix owes its origin to a beautiful medieval town that Andrew visited whilst working
in Germany, and is
jointly owned by Andrew and Beverley Ball and Dave and Sharon Humphries
